Book Willard for Your Event

A general contractor by trade. A teacher by calling.

Talk Topics

Built from the ten laws.

Each talk is drawn directly from the chapters, stories, and Scripture of 10 Laws of Living and can be shaped for churches, businesses, contractor and trade groups, and young adults.

Laws 1 & 2 · Stewardship, Integrity

Faithful in Little

The Parable of the Talents and Luke 16:10: if you want to be trusted with more, be faithful with what is already in your hands. Joseph in Potiphar’s house and the story of the 69.5 grade: integrity is proven when doing right is costly.

Laws 3 & 4 · Growth, Purpose

Guard Your Soil

Lessons from a family garden and the Parable of the Sower: if you guard your soil, God will grow your seed. Why God often uses beneath-me positions to train us for beyond-me assignments, and how to make an impact where you are planted.

Laws 5 & 6 · Relationships, Forgiveness

Who You Are When You’re Not in the Room

Reputation as currency, Barnabas the encourager, and transactional vs. transformational relationships. Then the prison of unforgiveness: forgiveness cleans your heart, and boundaries protect your future.

Laws 7 & 8 · Discipline, Time Management

From Dreamer to Builder

Discipline as doing what you don’t want to do, with the same intensity as the thing you love most. Systems over bursts of motivation. Time as the currency you can never earn back: if you do not plan your day, your day will plan you.

Law 9 · Resilience

Adapt, Overcome, Improvise, and Attack

A job-site mantra for storms and delays: make a recovery plan instead of hoping lost hours come back. You cannot always control what you lose, but you can decide how you respond (Galatians 6:9).

Law 10 · Legacy

Leave It in People

Where all the other laws meet. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children (Proverbs 13:22), and that inheritance is wisdom, values, faith, and character. Legacy is not just what you leave for people; it is what you leave in people.

Don’t see an exact fit? Any combination of the ten laws can be tailored to your audience and time slot.

“Nothing that has ever been built to last was built without discipline.”Willard Cooper Jr., The Law of Discipline
